Our client are a recognised centre of excellence in Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions, electronics systems, lighting and high integrity harness systems. Due to continued company growth they are looking to recruit a Software Engineering Team Leader to join their Software Engineering team.

The Role: Software Engineering Team Leader
As Software Engineering Team Leader you will be responsible for:

+ Leading the identified team to successfully deliver the customer and internal commitments for the team with optimal design to quality, to schedule and within defined and agreed cost parameters
+ Assisting the Engineering Manager with all planning activities and the definition and co-ordination of the resources required and assigned to the project or function
+ Leading the allocated team to ensure the successful delivery of all identified requirements within the scope of supply for the allocated work package in a process compliant manner
+ Maintaining a clear and comprehensive understanding of the technical accounts for the allocated work packages in line with identified requirements
+ Collaborating with other Team Leaders and the Engineering Management to ensure that an optimal solution for the project is achieved
+ Proactively working to define requirements, resolve issues and deliver efficient solutions and improvements as appropriate

Experience:
As Software Engineering Team Leader you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in Software Engineering or other relevant technical discipline
+ Strong experience of developing real-time embedded software solutions in "C"
+ Previous experience of leading a small team
+ Demonstrable leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and energise a directly reporting software development team
+ A customer-focused attitude and the ability to interact with senior stakeholders
+ Experience of network technologies such as CANbus, TTP, Ethernet
+ Experience of modelling with UML/SysML
+ Enterprise Architect/Rhapsody and PVCS toolset experience
+ Familiarity with LDRA or similar static analysis tools
+ Experience of successfully undertaking software development in a safety critical environment
+ Aerospace systems experience
