Our client is a world leading proprietary trading firm with a focus on cutting edge algorithmic trading. With offices in the USA, UK and Singapore this company trades across all major asset classes. In line with planned growth in Singapore, our client is looking to on board a best in class C++ developer to work directly on the trading floor.
As part of a small and dynamic team, the successful applicant will be working directly with the traders of the company to design, build, implement and test trading applications which will be deployed directly into the market. This person will be expected to be extremely performance orientated and to be able to bring to the table new ideas around improving performance of the suite of trading applications. They would also be expected to have a solid understanding of the Financial Markets.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or its equivalent
- Masters degree from a top-tier university in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field, PhD preferred
- Excellent Computer programming skills: C++ in a Windows and Linux environment
- Experience in creating/supporting cross-platform multithreaded applications
- Experience in OOD, Multithreaded programming
- Solid Understanding of Bash Scripting
- Strong understanding of computer systems e.g. operating systems, networks, performance optimization, etc
- Ability to work across multiple project lifecycles: requirement capturing, design, development and final deployment to production
- Ability to work with team members, yet be motivated and self-directed
