Software Engineer, Xamarin.Forms at Xamarin (San Francisco, CA) (allows remote)
Your Role:
Xamarin.Forms is a revolutionary framework that enables developers to build native UIs for iOS, Android, and Windows with a single, shared codebase. We are a small, dedicated team that moves quickly and is focused on making cross-platform mobile development delightful and are working on one of the most popular features of Xamarin. The Xamarin.Forms Developer will help us keep up with the amazing excitement and demand from our users!
Location: US time zones; relocation available but not required.
Your Responsibilities:
- Maintain and implement new features for Xamarin.Forms, such as adding new controls and layouts, integrating other cross-platform functionality, enhancing XAML support, and adding support for new platforms.
- Reporting directly to the Xamarin.Forms lead, participate in engineering planning, roadmapping, and design sessions.
- Work directly with end users in our vibrant Xamarin.Forms community to understand and address their issues and make building apps with Xamarin.Forms a delight.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years programming experience
- Expert knowledge of the .NET framework and C#
- Intermediate knowledge of at least one of: WPF/Silverlight, iOS, Android, or Windows Phone development
- Framework design experience
Bonus Experience:
- Broad UI Toolkit Experience. Have you used Flex? Awesome. JQuery? Great. Created custom WPF Controls? Fantastic. Working with Cairo? Incredible.
- Familiar with the MVVM design pattern
- UI Toolkit development experience
