Software Engineers, junior to mid (w/ any OO language) Write in Java and Scala Job in Boston 02115, Massachusetts US

Long-time Bivium Group client, with 10 truly top-notch engineering placements over the past 4 years -- not a single one of them has left. In fact, this team has never laid off and has only lost a few engineers over the years due to national attrition. Company is back in *growth mode* and looking to hire numerous software engineers, from entry-level to someone with about 8 years of software engineering experience. Engineering team is about 20 in total, with about 12-15 in Boston. Budget for multiple software engineering hires for Boston.

Partnered closely with and have a tremendous relationship with the Vice President of Software (hiring manager) . This is a small "insulated" software product division (via acquisition a few years ago) of a much larger global Financial Services Software Company. This software product division is a major "strategic asset" to the parent company and will continue to grow and innovate. The core product is a high-performance, highly scalable enterprise class application developed in Java, and now with many new major features built in Scala that are being baked in. Growing expertise in functional programming and would love to hire smart software engineers with experience and/or interest in functional programming, especially Scala. System also makes use of a vast amount of data, including time series, for advanced analytical and modeling features. Lots of interesting problems to solve in a wide variety of areas.

"I feel that we have a pretty wide range of needs here, so I am not hung up as to whether or not they have Java (or Scala) experience, etc. Bright people with the strong fundamentals is the first step and we can find a role for whatever skill set they have." -- hiring manager
