Challenges of the position include:
- Work as part of a professional services team on product implementation, integration, or software upgrade projects.
- Helps lead clients through all functional phases of implementations
- Executes assigned tasks and prepares deliverables according to schedule
- Coordinates issue reporting with the Allegro Project Manager
- Assists the Allegro Principal Consultant in providing energy industry subject matter expertise as it relates to business software functionality.
- Expertise and work efforts focus primarily on the implementation of Allegro’s proprietary software products.
- Mentors junior consultants on projects
To qualify for this position, you should possess:
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase) and MS Excel
- Knowledge of system design and architecture, especially object-oriented platforms
- Previous experience implementing packaged or bespoke ETRM / CTRM software, trading platforms or risk management software
- Industry knowledge: understanding of commodity and/or derivatives trading (physical and/or financial trading of power, gas, oil, refined products, coal)
- Advanced skills in SQL, report writing (Crystal reports), web services (connectivity) and data modelling will be a decided advantage
- C# knowledge or development experience would be a decided advantage
- Experience in Big 4 consulting and/or experience in the energy markets will stand you in good stead
- Fluency in European languages (in particular German) advantageous
- Excellent conversation and presentation skills and the ability and/or interest to train others
- Willingness to travel across EMEA
