Software Implementation Project Manager

 

Essential Function:

The development manager is responsible for the delivery of ARGO’s business solutions to customers and providing strategic leadership to customers and to ARGO’s business initiatives. Responsibilities also include short-term and long-term planning, executing project plans in accordance with the triple constraints, controlling and monitoring project schedules, budget review, developing effective teams, analyzing and interpreting technical subject matter, and expert knowledge of implementation methodologies.

Duties:

·         Development management

·         Customer relationship management

·         Employee and team management

·         Design and analyze business logic algorithms

·         Develop, and enhance system and business application level functionality

·         Prepare conceptual, detail and technical design documentation

·         Ensure assigned functionality adheres to performance and development standards

·         Use quality assurance procedures to report defects and propose enhancements

·         Work with teammates and clients to achieve the highest quality, industry leading products

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Thorough understanding of the software manufacturing process, including key roles, phases, inputs, outputs, and waterfall and cyclical development approaches

·         Able to communicate with team members, customers, partners, and project stakeholders

·         Able to lead problem-solving situations in an organized and productive fashion

·         Able to analyze and interpret technical subject matter to determine and isolate critical components

·         Must have effective written and verbal business communication skills

·         Able to produce and interpret design specifications and technical documentation

·         Able to work in a team environment

EXPERIENCE:

·         Keen awareness of and experience in application of fundamental management skills such as negotiation, team enablement and empowerment, motivation, conflict management, and delegation

·         Experience in customer-facing requirements gathering and solution design sessions

·         Experience in directly managing project staff resources

·         Experience in resource and duration estimating methods such as 3-point estimating

·         Availability to travel up to 25%

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems ( MIS ) Computer Science ( CS ) or similar

·         U.S. Citizen or permanently authorized to work in the U.S.

·         4+ years’ experience managing external customer projects
