Software QA Engineer
- This Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) will be primarily working on Wells Fargo's Advisor product line, including Envision and Book Mgmt. The QAE will be involved in creating and executing test plans and working interactively with Product Development and Product Management to improve the quality of the products.
- The ideal candidate must have background in financial application testing and be able to quickly grasp complex concepts and design appropriate test strategies.
- The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of the product life cycle - from initial marketing requirements through development, testing, and deployment.
- The ideal candidate will also be able to effectively participate in cross-functional meetings, clearly articulate project risk and provide concise recommendations to Development and Product Management.
- Develop test plans and test cases covering both UI and backend functionality.
- Execute Test cases in accordance with the schedule identified in the Project Plan
- Identify, assess, and report defects via the defect tracking system
- Collaborate with development and product management teams to assess and manage project risk
- Collaborate with development and application support teams to create deployment plans
- Develop and distribute regular status reports and test metrics as appropriate
- Provide timely accurate updates to QA manager/lead and project team
- The Quality Assurance Engineer will also be expected to bring a breadth of QA experience and best practices to the company.
- Some weekend and evening work is required to support production releases

Skills
- Minimum 2+ years software quality assurance experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of key financial domain concepts.
- MUST have excellent written and oral communication skills (the ideal candidate should be able to work with representatives from different functional groups and be able to quickly assess requirements of a project and set appropriate testing expectations).
- Experience with Wealth management tool testing is preferred.
- Experience with Quality Center is a plus.
- Experience with QTP is a plus.
