The Automation Agile Software Tester is a key member of the team responsible for software test and evaluation efforts. The primary responsibility of this role is to support Agile/Scrum software development through planning, designing, developing and executing various software quality processes within the Scrum methodology. Key accountabilities include implementation of best practice techniques for test-driven development, value-based exploratory testing, automated functional and regression testing. This role requires technical skills, including the ability to create, document and execute test strategies and test plans. In addition, this role will facilitate internal/external communication between the development team and Acceptance Test stakeholders, as well as validate that the development team adheres to established Agile Testing methodologies and processes.

Education/Experience
• Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required
• Minimum 5+ years software Quality Management experience required

Responsibility level
• Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor

Skills
• Deep understanding of Scrum software development methodology with practices including continuous integration and test driven development (MINIMUM 1 year experience with Scrum).
• Deep experience with test automation and Automated Acceptance Testing required including at least one of Greenpepper, Cucumber, Selenium, Fitnesse, jBehave and Junit.
• Experience with agile tracking and reporting tools such as HP Quality Center, Rally, or JIRA.
• Have implemented standard processes, tools, and metrics to deliver large-scale projects from inception to conclusion that met quantifiable business objectives.
• Java/J2EE and Services oriented architecture (SOA) experience helpful.
• Work history that includes start-up / new product development is helpful.
• Knowledge of secure development and testing practices including the use of tools such as AppScan, and Vericode, and knowledge of Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) preferred.
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
• Experience with web services / API testing, including the use of tools such as SOAPUI or Parasoft SOAtest would be helpful.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design, automate and execute test plans, scenarios and scripts.
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
• Use of Scrum methodology and participation in all phases of the iterative process.
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
