Software Quality Assurance Engineer Job in Milpitas 95035, California US

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is primarily responsible for conducting full test lifecycle, including writing test plans, test case documentation, estimation reports, test scripts, bug reporting, bug verification and in producing the test progress and completion reports.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

     

·               Design test plans and execute test cases by performing Unit, Functional, Regression, Integration, Performance, and End-to-End testing.

·               Develop and execute moderate SQL queries to validate data points.

·               Map test cases to functional requirements to ensure complete test coverage.

·               Reports test progress and quality status to project stakeholders.

·               Review code changes to help the team identify needed test cases for efficient execution.

·               Monitor and maintain HIPAA privacy and security standards as defined by Quantros.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

 

·               Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

·               Five (5) years or more of Software Quality Engineering experience testing Web applications and ETL processes.

·               Three (3) years or more of experience working with SQL queries using Oracle databases along with general understanding of data models, data structures, metadata.

·               Experience in conducting multi-platform and multi-browser testing.

·               Previous Work experience in a healthcare company or knowledge of current standards and practices in healthcare information systems is highly desirable.

·               Experience designing and developing automated test frameworks and scripts using any of JUnit, QTP, Selenium, JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.

 

Working Environment/Physical Demands

           

Working Environment:

·               General office environment: Works generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels.

·               Limited long-distance or air travel needed. 

·               Periods of stress may occur.

 

Physical Demands:

·               Activities require a significant amount of sitting at office and work desks and in front of a computer monitor.

·               Some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel.
