We are looking for Senior QA engineer for our client based in Silver Spring, MD.
Job Description:
Summary
Formulates and defines system testing scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to test complex web applications. Designs, implements, documents and maintains programs and procedures designed to facilitate testing and QA efforts.

Designs, writes and executes test cases/plans, scripts and procedures.
Documents and reports application bugs and provides specific reproducible examples.
Documents test results.
Performs automated regression testing on current websites.
Defines QA metrics and continuous improvement best practices.
Load tests existing and new applications.
Tests data through database.
Develops test methods and tools to validate product features according to the client’s Statement of Work requirements.
Maintains libraries of test conditions, cases, scripts and results.
Designs and write scripts using automated testing tools from Mercury Interactive.
Troubleshoot problems and differentiates between user error, functionality gaps, application bugs and system errors.
Scrutinizes test results, prioritized work and multitasks.
Works with users and developers to suggest improvements to web design to enhance/improve user experience.
Performs analysis of statement of work requirements and translates to software functionality,
Tests functionality against business scenarios.
Leads medium to large scale testing projects.
Develops complex test plans with minimal supervision.
Communicates with users at various levels within the company.
Estimates QA schedules for projects.
Uses the time reporting system reporting system; signing and reporting all exception time on a weekly basis.
Completes other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
Performs responsibilities in a professional manner, meeting the Company’s mission and goals.
