Description
In this position, you will be responsible for Software Quality activities for Automotive IVI products.
These will include but not be limited to:
- Quality Planning and oversight of quality activities throughout development including post release
- Deriving development models to meet the priorities of the Business Unit as well as the quality needs of the Automotive industry and Intel standards
- Driving innovative process improvement and process efficiency through data measurement and analysis
At a detailed level the role includes:
Process Development and Coaching:
- Ensuring awareness of Intel and industry processes and conduct training or coaching as appropriate
- Assisting project teams in adopting quality infrastructure to meet specific project needs
- Defining and recommending software processes in accordance with industry and Intel standard practices
Quality Engineering:
- Ensuring that the product quality requirements are specified
- Ensuring that these requirements meet or exceed minimum Divisional and Business Unit quality standards
- Developing software quality criteria to support these requirements
- Facilitating execution of the Software Quality Plan to ensure the criteria are met
- Monitoring progress and report status towards planned quality goals
Quality Assurance:
- Objectively evaluating processes and program work-products for compliance to standards
- Ensuring that non-compliances are addressed
- Facilitating quality activities like technical reviews, inspections and metrics collection and analysis
- Leading or participating in process improvement activities within the development team and across the business unit
- Conducting project audits or assessments for compliance to business unit or team processes
- Conducting organizational audits or assessments for compliance with process frameworks (for example, AutomotiveSPICE, CMM, CMMI, ISO9001) as requested by the business unit
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- You should possess a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering. Alternatively, certification in Software Engineering or Software Quality from an accredited institution.
- You must have a minimum of at least five years of relevant experience in the Software Quality domain.
- Automotive experience is a desirable

- Knowledge of software quality engineering methods
Experience with the following is preferred: Quality Management Systems, programming, validation, customer interactions, and auditing. Knowledge of the AutomotiveSPICE and CMMI is a plus.
