Software Systems Specialist III Job in Richardson 75080, Texas US
Job Description Responsible for software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting for various computing platforms, including servers and miscellaneous network devices.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or more than 3 years experience. Position requires sitting for long periods of time using keyboard and reading data off of dual monitors, stooping and bending to pick up, carry and move computer equipment from one location to another; may be required to travel on/off campus by foot or own transportation.

Learns new technologies quickly and applies this new knowledge to further the goals for the department. Will provide technical support for:
- Servers/Server systems
-Storage Area Network/Network attached storage environments
- Application of updates, performance monitoring and troubleshooting of SAN in a multi-site environment
- Microsoft IIS Server
-Installation, configuration, updating, performance monitoring and troubleshooting of MS Windows, Linux, Unix, Solaris server environments.
Minimum Responsibilities Display substantial hardware diagnostic knowledge/experience; connect computing devices to a network and do network administration and troubleshooting; conduct research into resolving unusual or unique computing problems that may occur; supervise other SSS III or lower positions and/or serve as team leader on projects; provide basic server support of server operating systems and hardware as well as networking devices; may provide end user training and/or orientation; other duties as required.
