Software Test Engineer 3 Job in Carson, California Us

Perform integration, installation, and test of advanced mission planning and management software for manned and unmanned applications. Knowledgeable in analyzing system requirements, developing test plans, test drivers, and test scripts for manual and automated software testing, and demonstrate to customer that software meets the requirements.

Extensive interfacing with the customer community tracking system functionality, stability, maturity, and evolving enterprise best practices.

Candidate has potential to lead integration and test teams to solve complex problems, provide guidance and oversight for more junior staff, and maintain test progress and metrics. Maintain and report test metrics, budget status, and plans to program management.

Basic Qualifications:

* M.S. and 3+ years experience or B.S. and 5+ years experience in CS, CE, EE, or related technical field. Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. 9 years of related experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.

* Test experience and knowledge of software developed in C#, C++, C and/or Java programming language with emphasis on object-oriented software development.

* Experience with MS Windows 7 and XP applications, Windows Server 2008/2003, and proficient in Office 2010/2007 Word/Excel/Power Point.

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

* US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

* Developed component-based interface software, hardware/software integration, installation, system testing, debugging, and deployment.

* Experience with software build management, integration and test in Windows and .NET environment.

* Experience with mission planning and Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) software.

* Experience with InstallShield.

* Active or reinstatable secret clearance.

* Demonstrated experience in earned value management.
