Software Test Manager / QA Manager
An International company based in South Dublin is looking for a Tester Manager to define and implement quality assurance. You will build in depth understanding of products, processes and systems to enable a risk based approach to quality assurance. This is an intial 6 month contract with a view to extend.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and schedule test resources across multiple locations, monitor and execution of test plans, provide guidance and leadership in test execution
· Build and configure quality plans so as to set the quality assurance framework for business as usual or transformation related activities, provide estimates and input to project plans
· Identify and implement standardised, simplified, consistent test packages, that comply to standards and maximise possibility for reuse
· Provide leadership from within the project team to keep quality on the agenda, provide training and support as necessary in support of this objective
· Build knowledge of business and solution contexts, such that a risk based approach to quality assurance can be developed that aligns test approach with business objectives and potential risks
· Execute test plans as required in support of project based activities
Skills / Competencies Required:
· Excellent QA management experience across all phases of the SDLC including Integration, E2E and Performance testing
· Very good understanding of formal testing methods, including in an integrated systems environment
· Good working knowledge of MS Office required, MS SQL experience preferable
Experience Required:
· Primary or Secondary degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
· 5 plus years full life cycle experience in a similar position required
Desirable
· Experience working in the Finance / Insurance Industry would be plus
