Position Description:
SunGard AvantGard Payments is a trusted partner for corporations allowing them to manage their corporate banking transactions in an efficient way, using state of the art technology. AvantGard TRAX is the flagship product for the processing of payments and account reporting messages. It's a highly adaptive corporate banking transaction system able to integrate seamlessly with existing cash management and ERP back-office infrastructures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for testing the Trax J2EE payments application. This will include the testing of functional releases, scheduled patches and hot fix patches. You will be involved from the first phase of the project, right through to the delivery of the release. You will work closely with the Product Management and Development teams to define and implement a successful QA strategy, including test case definition, test plan etc.
Key Duties:
• Participate in all phases of test execution and documentation including functional, regression, performance, usability, integration and acceptance testing.
• Develop and refine full functional test plans and test case templates, test strategy and estimate workload requirements.
• Develop Quality Assurance test plans and test cases to thoroughly test the business applications based on requirements as created with Product Management.
• Develop release documents focused on the user and functional behavior of the application.
• Engineer test data to be used in the various testing types throughout the software development life cycle.
• Work closely with Product Management and Development to ensure effective coordination during the testing process.
• Actively participate in the relevant SCRUM meetings.
• Identify, log, report and track defects found in the release.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in an IT-related discipline or the equivalent of education and experience.
• Relevant QA experience, preferably in a finance or related environment.
• Familiarity with Selenium and or JMeter (or other test automation tools) is an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, strong initiative, flexible and good time management skills.
• Enthusiastic, team-building attitude, good communication skills.
• Willing to work in/build an Agile environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, goals and objectives within assigned time.
• Fluent in Dutch / Flemish.
• Good knowledge of English.
