Software/Test Engineer
The project is a Department of Defense (DoD) Program of Record. The individual will accomplish the verification and validation of software products running on UNIX and Windows servers. Work will be performed primarily in the Stafford, VA area with periodic local travel to the Rosslyn and Reston, Virginia areas. Limited travel CONUS/OCONUS will/may be required. Candidate must possess a current TS clearance with SCI access. Individual will be working in a team environment; both oral and written communication skills are a must. Bachelor's Degree in systems engineering, computer science or related technical discipline highly desired (equivalent experience acceptable).
Core Duties:
- Assessment of functional and performance requirements
- Development of test plans, procedures and reports
- Evaluation of software product to ensure product meets specified requirements and meets user's needs
- Documentation and presentation of identified problems within the software application in a clear and concise manner
- Assessment of developer design review material
- Witnessing developer system tests
- Providing input to internally and externally developed project documentation
Background/Skills:
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a software engineering/software testing or related technical field
- An understanding of software testing processes and techniques
- In-Depth knowledge of counter intelligence/human intelligence is desired but not required
- Experience with software testing tools such as HP LoadRunner or Rational Robot would be beneficial
