Solarc Developer (AVP- VP) recruitment
Our client is a leading global financial institution. The role will suit experienced individuals who are strong with either Java or C++ and keen to be part of building a cutting edge system.
Responsibilities:
- To build an in-house risk and pricing management platform with the aim to move away from our current vendor systems
- As a strong contributor to improve the architecture of the system for reducing latency and robustness of the system
- Develop in a agile, test-driven environment and collaborate with co-workers for code review and refinement of ideas
- Work closely with the traders and qants to understand the business requirements and cut codes to ensure the right fit within the architectural vision
- Ensure a smooth transition to the commodities support team when a project is delivered to production, including documentation and training
- Frequent communications with global teams to stay on top of application issues and changes
Requirements of the role:
- Excellent Solarc along with either Java, C++ or Python development experience on physical commodities risk and pricing systems
- Excellent experience with using concurrency, object oriented design and distributed systems
- Strong physical commodities business knowledge
- Understanding of business processes
