Solaris System Administrator (SA) - 50655
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years Solaris systems administration experience. A minimum of 2 years information technology experience working in a classified computer facility in information, intelligence, or security areas. Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software as demonstrated by 2 years practical experience and the ability to install and configure operating systems; perform account and file maintenance; configure, stop, and start services; and troubleshoot common user service issues. Some experience with programming / scripting languages as demonstrated by the ability to create a script in Java, Bourne, Bash, Csh, or Perl without having to consult a reference document. Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment and interface with all levels of staff effectively. Demonstrated ability to recognize the need for action and to respond appropriately without prompting. Desired Qualifications: Solaris Certification or Linux certification. Some Windows computer experience (2 years). Experience with VMware or other virtualization software (1 year practical experience). Working familiarity with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCID) or Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) security requirements. Security Requirements: TS/SCI Clearance w/ CI Poly is required. Applicant's selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for an SSBI and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. Must also be eligible for a Polygraph examination. Preference for current SSBI. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship. Special Working Conditions: Will be working in a closed environment; extended hours periodically required; valid state driver's license required; minimal (1-2 weeks per year) local and out of area travel may be required.
