Solution Architect recruitment

ANZ is accelerating the growth of its business in Asia. We realise that our greatest asset is our people. That is why we are creating a unique climate of inspiration, leadership, values and great opportunities that will enable the best in the market to thrive as part of our diverse team.

As a Solution Architect, you will gather, analyse and interpret functional and non-functional requirements to determine an architectural solution for a specific business project within the approved scope. The focus is on logical and physical views for application design for specific solutions for large and major projects. The architecture delivered will be more detailed than the enterprise architecture and will be consistent with the Divisional and Enterprise Architecture blueprints and roadmaps and conformant with the enterprise architecture principles and methods. This architecture will be used to guide the work of the detail designers and developers.

As the Solution Architect you will maintain oversight and deal with issues discovered during the detailed design, development, testing or implementation phases of the project and where necessary update and re-issue the architecture artefacts. You are also expected to expand the pool of architectural knowledge and re-usable designs by thoroughly documenting your work and actively sharing artefacts stored in a centrally registered asset repository. As you will generally be involved in the development of solutions for large and major projects you will be required to lead a team of Solution Architects involved in the development of the Solution Architecture for the project and provide guidance where necessary.

Collaboration being the key, you will work with Business Unit managers to design and develop specific strategies and architectural solutions to meet the requirements of the Business Unit and/or project. This will also help in clearly defining the scope of the solution and communicate the fundamentals of the solution to a diverse range of stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in medium to large and complex systems development and maintenance, end-to-end experience across the SDLC, exposure to systems architecture frameworks, principles, and modelling concepts and process, experience across a range of technologies (i.e. Java/J2EE, .Net), experience in modelling software and system designs and experience/participation in planning activities will be required to take charge in this role. Good knowledge/awareness of enterprise architecture, emerging SOA approaches and working knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes will also be expected of you. Post-Graduate qualification in Information Technology (e.g. computer science, information management, mathematics) will be preferred.

This is an opportunity to undertake a role offering exceptional opportunities for professional development with a broad range of career paths.
