This position can be placed in any region of Kaiser Solution Consulting -Consultant Specialist The Information Management and Service Oriented Architecture department for Care Delivery is seeking an experienced Solution Consulting -Consultant Specialist. This position will be responsible for the development of requirements and solution designs for information management and business intelligence projects of the department. These projects can span multiple regions and can encompass different technologies and infrastructures. The position will be responsible for consulting with business partners, collaborating with different IT groups, and working with development and testing teams to successfully deliver the project solution JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Accountable for the content, correctness, completeness and accuracy of the requirements and solution design deliverables. - Consult effectively with business partners to define requirements and develop solution alternatives and estimates. - Conduct design review sessions, data mapping sessions with various IT, vendor and business teams. - Oversees the design and development of new systems architecture. - Provides technical direction and support for complex, cross-functional integration projects. - Work closely with business partners, business consultants, project managers, vendors and IT teams that will be involved in the project. - Contribute to the RFP/RFI process in projects requiring integration with vendor systems. ANTICIPATED FIRST YEAR DELIVERABLES Develop and deliver requirements and solution designs for information management projects. Ensure secure and accurate testing and packaging of information management solutions. Examine new technologies and tool sets, document their usage as they apply to business intelligence and information management. Qualifications: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum of 10 years experience in application engineering, software development and deployment of large scale enterprise-wide applications across diverse geographical locations. - Bachelor's degree in in a related field or equivalent work experience - Experience with software development methodologies, distributed architectures, data and information modeling, and transformation techniques. - Demonstrated experience in developing major system interfaces including the uses of messaging protocols. - Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. - Experience with presenting solutions and influencing the decisions of project sponsors and executive leadership. - Self motivated, self directed and independent thinker. - Demonstrated experience in working with multiple IT groups in a matrix environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Advanced degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or other technical degrees. Experience in development in Intersystems Cache and Teradata. Current experience with Enterprise Application Integration. Epic certification in Chronicles or Clarity. Minimum of 5 years working experience in the health care industry.
