Solution Marketing Manager

 

You will be a key player at Lumension in the transformation of the network security and operational market.  You will be responsible for successfully positioning our technology and solutions for multiple audiences – customers, partners, sales and analysts.  You will spend time understanding our target audiences, key pain points, our unique value proposition and the competitive landscape.  Then, you will use this knowledge to develop compelling presentations, collateral, product launches, and sales training.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

•                      Product launches:  We need you to help customers, press, and analysts understand why what we’re doing is valuable to the market, using a variety of communication methods.

•                      Present our products in formal and informal settings – sales calls, and industry, partner, and corporate events.  Train the sales organization and channel partners on product capabilities and competitive differentiation.

•                      Content-driven demand generation: Working with our demand generation team, you will help craft the materials we need for successful prospecting. You’ll also be involved in Web seminars, in-person talks, and trade shows to help drive business.

•                      Create datasheets, brochures, whitepapers, case studies, presentations, demos, and website content.

•                      Review and respond to requests for proposals.

•                      Be a domain expert for a solutions product line - understanding product and service features, functionality and customer benefits.

•                      Participate in the planning and execution of launch activities—from initial development of a comprehensive launch plan, to ongoing cross-functional meetings tracked by a launch schedule.

 

Skills

 

•                      5+ years of product marketing experience in information security, network security, or infrastructure.  Specific experience in endpoint security suites, mobile device management,  compliance [PCI, SOX, HIPAA] - a plus.

•                      Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience in public speaking.

•                      Ability to translate complex concepts and technologies into business-oriented value propositions.

•                      Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.

•                      Ability to think strategically while working tactically.

•                      Driven, self-motivated, and always looking for ways to improve on our current marketing efforts.

•                      Solid analytical and business skills.

•                      Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task, deadline-driven work environment

•                      Ability to drive projects through to completion, cooperating and coordinating with many other groups within the company.

•                      Ability to travel up to 25% as required by this position

•                      Proven ability to work cross-functionally, between technical and non-technical teams.

 

Preferred:

•                      CISSP and or MCSE certifications

•                      Mobile Device Management market experience

 

Experience

 

Bachelor's degree in business, English or marketing required. Advanced degree in business or marketing desirable.
