Streams are being fueled not just by the huge amount of user generated content but by full-length TV shows movies, and new original programming. As the Internet and computing reinvent media distribution models, video advertising continues to evolve with advertising opportunities currently spanning a broad range of interactive media including pre-roll and premium sponsorships with brand and product integration. Many new formats are being planned for this year including interactive overlays, clickable video and Ad Selection. We're looking for a senior Sales Specialist Executive with an outstanding track record in digital advertising sales or television advertising sales and a passion for emerging/video media to help us drive Microsoft's US video advertising business. The ideal candidate would have a comprehensive knowledge of the advertising business, including 5+ years of media sales (required), digital media experience (preferred), experience in television selling/buying a plus. In the role, you will work with various groups within Microsoft Advertising to grow ad revenue, increase sell-through of standard and enhanced opportunities and the ability to package the value proposition for internal and external communication. In addition, you will aggressively grow media revenue across multiple channels (agency direct, advertiser direct and referrals from Microsoft's advertising sales force) and establish strong industry relationships with Microsoft Advertising Account Teams, clients, publishers, complementary Microsoft groups as well as TV/video/media industry players. In this role, you will focus on: � Driving to exceed U.S. Video Advertising fiscal year revenue targets � Working with Account Teams to oversee development of relationships with key clients and management of agency relationships � Working with members of Microsoft Advertising sales teams, product groups, marketing and business development to develop and deliver video advertising campaigns successfully � working with members of Microsoft product and advertising development groups manage a suite of advertising and sponsorship opportunities across video ad product classes and enhanced brand integration � working with members of Microsoft Advertising sales teams, trade marketing and product marketing to continue to develop value proposition around internet delivered advertising opportunities and process framework � Driving revenue generation, reviewing and analyzing performance, driving actions for improvement, and implementing efficient and productivity enhancing tools and processes � owning of monthly sales forecasts, regular partnership with inventory management, planning and budgeting, and presentation of regular annual, mid-year and long-range territory management plans Target qualifications include: � Experience working with Autos, Retail, CPG and Financial Services clients preferred � Proven experience in successfully building and growing advertising sales revenue, developing business and monetization strategy � highly entrepreneurial, self-sufficient and able to work independently to successfully grow and foster long term partner and client relationships based on quality service � Proven experience in successfully working with sales, product and marketing groups, delivering premium advertising and content programs. � Able to act as an Evangelist for Microsoft with the industry, educating and convincing clients about the benefits of video advertising as a new media � Familiarity, relationships and proven connectivity with publishers and advertisers in market place, including regional and/or global brand level clientele � Team player with a positive and dynamic personality, excellent communication and presentation skills, strong planning and organizational capabilities � Operational focus - gets things done - result driven personality � University degree required Sales:CO 778603
