In this role, you will be responsible for selling Office 365 to our Corporate and Mid-Market customers in the Mid Atlantic region. Be part of an amazing team, with a great product to sell! As a Solution Specialist, you will add high-level value to Microsoft by accelerating customer adoption of Office 365. You will lead efforts to expand both market share and revenue share for the suite in your territory. You will build a strategy with tactics and execution plan that includes all Microsoft stakeholders (Sales, Services, Marketing, Partners, Licensing, etc.). You will act as a business partner and lead and support geographic district processes for technology adoption towards deployment. You will have customer-facing responsibilities and own customer relationships with the expectation of spending at least 40-70% of your time with customers. You will have an assigned sales quota that maps directly to your territories and be responsible for meeting this quota on a quarterly basis. Specialist Sales Responsibilities: 1. Drive technology sales/adoption towards deployment a. Develop in-depth understanding of the Online versions of Microsoft Office, Exchange, Lync SharePoint platform related solutions. Articulating the value they bring in solving customer business problems. i. Convey messaging that translates the generic technology capability to customer-specific value messages. ii. Articulate the economic value proposition that helps drive deployment for the technology set. b. Coach Microsoft sellers on driving consistent and higher levels of world class selling through Business Productivity Infrastructure Optimization discussions. c. Execute technology adoption and deployment strategy for the productivity set that ensures superior customer satisfaction results, long-term customer lifecycle and annuity, and incremental revenue opportunities. i. Focus on capability-led selling and optimization including partners to scale the breadth depth of the solution. ii. Align strategies and tactics to industry where possible. 2. Drive for Results a. Drive Microsoft Productivity suite attach to enterprise licensing agreements (both renewal and new). b. Build and manage a solutions pipeline for your assigned products in your quota by working with account unit team members and other specialist sales roles. c. Introduce and help formulate sales incentive strategies that promote strategic goal achievement. d. Support licensing and annuity strategy to meet growth objectives. 3. Lead World Class Selling Activities-Art of Selling a. Strategic Deal investments-engage directly in must-win adoption accounts for the district, to accelerate adoption and achieve customer satisfaction and reference accounts / case studies for future sales. i. Leverage customer insight to improve decision making. iii. Engage with solutions partners early in the sales cycle. iv. Drive Innovation opportunities. Select key customer scenarios and engage in top District opportunities. Specialist Sales requirements: The candidate will have demonstrated the following: * 8-10+ years of related experience * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and competitive Information Worker platforms. * Strong knowledge of competitive collaboration products services/tools * Strong negotiation, organizational, creative, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. * Significant experience delivering persuasive presentations to both technical and business decision makers; * Strong virtual teaming abilities, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong commitment to customer service. * Knowledgeable in strategic planning, risk analysis and business justification. * Bachelors degree in relevant discipline required * Masters degree a plus.
