My leading Financial Services client requires an experienced Solutions or Applications Architect to join them on their major transformation programme in Bournemouth.
The main role of the Architect is to support the design and implementation of a business-wide scanning and DMS solution. The candidate will need to document and define the 'as is' and 'to be' scanning and DMS solution to integrate the group-wide scanning and localised scanning solutions into a coherent end to end solution considering business process, non functional and functional requirements.
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in at least two of:
- eCommerce
- Business Intelligence (e.g, tools from Microsoft, Oracle, SAS, Informatica)
- Application development (e.g, Java, .NET, Oracle RDBMS, Weblogic)
- Systems integration (including authentication and security with 3rd parties)
- Service orientated architecture (SOA e.g, Oracle SOA suite)
- Package selection and RFP support
- Mainframe solutions (e.g, IBM z/os)
- IT solutions assurance
- Proven experience of working in an architect role within projects, providing solution design, project support and delivery of project architecture to drive out cost effective solutions.
- Effective skills in communication, negotiation and persuasion.
- Ability to work under pressure and within demanding timescales
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with other technical disciplines
- Awareness of effective use of architecture frameworks, techniques and methods.
- High level of business acumen and commercial awareness (e.g., building benefit cases)
Desirable Experience:
- Image management
- Scanning
- Document management
- Document consumers
- Direct experience of scanning and DMS projects, designing and implementing scanning solutions is highly desirable
- Experience in business intelligence is desirable
- Financial Services experience is desirable
- Strong communication skills are desired with preference given where there is experience of insurance and/or Life business.

Location: Bournemouth
Rate: £500-£550+
