Solutions Consultant Principal-Business Strategy Analytics
In support of Kaiser Permanente's IT Business Planning and Operations (BPO) the Principal will be responsible for participating in the development and/or enhancement of BPO's and the wider Infrastructure Management Group's (IMG) strategic and operational plans, ensuring that the plans are aligned to both IT and national / regional business initiatives, and consulting on the execution of plans. The Principal will also be responsible for providing analytical and decision support to the BPO and IMG leadership teams. Essential Functions: - Collaborating with the BPO and IMG leadership and their teams in defining the approach, resources and timelines for each strategic initiative - Commissioning and leading multiple, concurrent strategic initiatives consisting of BPO and IMG middle management, financial analysts, communication specialists, human resources specialists, process specialists and external consultants - Documenting the baseline - Conducting market analysis and defining the desired end-state - Conducting gap analysis - Identifying options to address gaps (each option should have qualitative and quantitative benefits and risks) - Developing business case(s) needed to implement the strategic plan, including project description, business drivers, implementation timelines, assumptions, financials, benefits, options considered, - Socializing and validating the strategic plan and business case with stakeholders and governance committees. - Developing and co-presenting presentations to the IMG Executive Management and Approval Committees - Developing or participating in the development of strategies, goals, processes and governance for BPO in support of the Service Centric Operating Model as appropriate. - Providing analytical and decision support to the BPO Leadership Team including defining the problem or issue, identifying, collecting and synthesizing data and metrics; modeling and analyzing the data; and summarizing findings and recommendations into Situation, Background, Assessment and Recommendation document (SBAR) Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related fieldor a minimum of 4 years of additional equivalent experience. - A minimum of 15 years of experience in solutions consulting including defining requirements, developing solution alternatives and estimates and translating client's business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions. - Highly experienced at negotiating and collaborating with key project leaders to identify subject matter experts and resources necessary to complete the process of information discovery and understanding of the business needs. - 15 years of management consulting experience, with at least 5 years of experience in leading a consulting team - 10 years of IT experience in process development and improvement, metrics and reporting, project management, business planning and operations, vendor management - Demonstrated code of ethics and professional responsibility - Must share the values of Kaiser Permanente and the Senior Leadership Team - Ability to consistently demonstrate integrity, high energy, initiative, and self-confidence - Dedication to diversity Preferred Qualifications: - Masters of Business Administration or equivalent graduate degree
