§ Responsible for the generation of custom business rules around Solutions development in the financial services industry. This involves working closely with our Solutions teams, understanding the user personas and use-cases that will leverage these solutions, and maximizing the value that our technology will provide to our end clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Works with Product Management, Subject Matter Experts and Sales Engineering to combine knowledge of technology capability with market requirements and creates functional specifications from use cases and other key market inputs.
§ Researches quantitative problems and offers effective solutions, typically implemented in MS Excel, to meet market and client objectives.
§ Designs and automates visual dashboard and reporting appropriate to satisfy the information needs of client senior executives.
§ Develops TCL-based scripts to integrate Trillium Software System into external reporting applications, as identified based on market demand.
§ Develops SQL-like business rule tests and validates preliminary functionality against test objectives.
§ Develops Excel VBA automation to affect workflow and perform numerical modeling against data provided as output from the Trillium Software System.
§ Works with QA, Product Management, Subject Matter Experts, Sales Engineering and Product Support to review product behavior against spec and stakeholder needs.
§ Meets predefined deadlines for work deliverables, including testing and change management.
§ Communicates with management on continued status of work, and any issues or questions identified during the business rule generation and validation process.
§ Establishes and maintains a solid working relationship with all team members.
Requirements:
§ BS in Computer Science, Finance or Mathematics.
§ Ability to design and develop business applications in MS Excel.
§ Familiarity with the mathematics behind Credit Risk Modeling and/or Bank Capital Management a plus.
§ Familiarity with principles of sound software development appropriate to an emerging business (e.g. Object-Oriented Design, Agile, Use Cases).
§ Experience developing VBA-based automation and writing complex database SQL queries required.
§ Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing is required.
§ Up to 10% travel may be required as this role offers an opportunity for the right contributor to gain valuable customer-facing experience during the design process.
