Our client is Europe's leading specialist in the provision of managed services solutions for operating Internet and enterprise applications. In short, our client runs critical business applications for mid-market companies and ISVs. Services include Managed Services; Critical Application Hosting; IT Infrastructure Operations; SaaS.
Due to rapid expansion my client is looking for a Wintel Solutions Engineer. Reporting to the Team Leader you will have hands on responsibility of the technical delivery of a client solution which entails the installation, configuration and support of the solution, from the configuration design phase through to live operational handover.
Experience Required:
· At least 4 years' experience with Windows server build and configuration, coupled with installation and configuration of software and applications on Cisco/HP/Dell, VMware and Microsoft platforms.
· Exposure and good understanding to clustering and load balancing is required and ideally, previous experience of full solution functionality, failover and resilience testing.
· Excellent demonstrable experience of Microsoft, VMWare (and ideally Linux), server technologies and applications coupled with a good understanding of multi-tier web infrastructures.
· Skills in Microsoft Windows MCITP / MSCE, SQL Server, IIS, failover clustering and load balancing, storage skills preferably 3Par or equivalent are also required.
