JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing professional project management in support of customer solution development, proposal presentations and select internal corporate initiatives. Develops engineered customer solutions. Analyzes customer requirements, operational information and data. Leads the customer RFI / RFP / RFQ response process. Develops and manages the customer Statement of Work (SOW). Actively supports customer implementations. Manages SOW changes through the implementation process. Manages Engineering Operating Plan (EOP) inputs and outputs.
KNOWLEDGE
- Demonstrated knowledge of FSC products and services.
- Expert-level knowledge of supply chain flows and interactions.
- Expert-level knowledge of transportation management, warehouse management, service parts logistics and the supporting technologies.
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge using MS Office (Excel, Word, and Access).
- Strong knowledge of FedEx operating company services.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to analyze, interpret and present customer data.
- Excellent communication skills. Must be able to make presentations and listen carefully to others in order to meet customer needs and build customer confidence.
- Good business writing skills for customer proposals.
- Ability to communicate the link between a customer’s supply chain and their financial statements.
- Excellent customer interface skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Economics, Engineering or a related field (preferred), plus 6 years progressive, related experience in Transportation, Distribution, Fulfillment or Supply Chain related field.
OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Economics, Engineering or a related field, plus 8 years of progressive, related responsibility in Transportation, Distribution, Fulfillment or Supply Chain.
OR
- equivalent
ADDITIONAL JOB ELEMENTS
- Able to work with analytical people in a matrix environment to build high morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
- Direct FedEx operating company experience preferred.
- Travel, both domestic and international, as necessary to support key responsibilities.
- Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical logistics preferred.
- Must possess a valid Passport
