Must identify cross-sectional human anatomy, distinguishing normal from abnormal for all procedures identified in specialized know-how and requirement section, to establish initial evaluation of echograms. *Properly identifies films with patient name, MRU number, and location or position of scan. *Communicates with patients to obtain history data and their cooperation. *Daily practices all activities outlined in the Job Standards for Sonographers. *Remains aware of ongoing QA programs and participates in department QA studies. *Calibrates, adjusts, and maintains ultrasound equipment. Evaluates new products and equipment for possible future use. Notifies Biomedical Department and Lead Sonographer when equipment failures occur.
