Source System to GL Business Analyst
We are looking for a finance business analyst from a qualified accountant/financial accounting background, to be responsible establishing the current landscape for Source Systems interfacing into a SAP General Ledger across the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with tech SME’s and line users to establish the current source system to GL landscape (this work is partially complete)
• Create a data set illustrating this current state
• Define a report with a variety of views across this landscape
• Work with other team members to recommend improvements based on analysis of this data
• Establish an on-going process to report this landscape into Financial Control
• Investigate and resolves the more complex problems, issues and queries, liaising with customers, suppliers and other experts, as appropriate.
• Assist in providing an informed view of consolidated data, i.e. explaining how individual business area trends are consolidated.
• Provide trusted financial analysis on a wide range of complex technical/business issues in connection with jobholder’s area of responsibility, e.g. variances, trend, impact of change initiatives, impact of new accounting regulations and how to account for new areas/ types of business.
Candidates must hold a recognised accountancy qualification and possess advanced analytical skills and experience of data mining software (eg SQL, Cognos)
