Sourcing Compliance Sr. Specialist (OPS5700)

Job Summary

The position is responsible for creating and updating procedures to improve and assure compliance with Regulatory/Quality, Financial, Legal, and Corporate Compliance requirements for Sourcing in conjunction with the Manager of Sourcing Compliance.  This position will also be responsible for representing Sourcing with various internal and External Audits.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

·        Research and document current practices in preparation for updating or creating procedures including interaction with Sourcing personnel and personnel at other Zimmer sites.

·        Create documents for review by Sourcing and Quality management; work with process owners and subject matter experts in technical writing.

·        Provide back up to both the Compliance Manager and Compliance Specialist.

·        Coaches and trains sourcing personnel for new or changes in policies/procedures and other compliance activities.

·        Review/analyze Sourcing-site specific policies, procedures, documents, and make recommendations for global applications or revisions to global documents which will also support future system implementations.

·        Assist with the execution of Compliance Manager projects.

·        Assist with the execution of Supplier Communications, Training, and Change Control.

·        Special projects as assigned i.e., Sourcing-specific CAPAs and follow-up to verify conformance.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs)

·        Must be knowledgeable of QSR, ISO 13485 and CAPA; specifically Purchasing Controls.

·        Strong procedural writing and process mapping skills

·        Knowledge of Finance, Regulatory/Quality, Corporate Compliance and Legal requirements (Zimmer Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.) for Sourcing.

·        Presentation Skills:  one to one and large audiences.

·        Process and Time Management skills including design, planning, implementation management.

·        Problem solving ability to find solutions and execute resolution with minimal guidance.

·        Strategic agility/perspective – adapts/reacts quickly to new or changing requirements, understands overall impact of individual results on the entire organization.

·        Advanced knowledge of sourcing and sourcing processes.

·        Proficient with personal computers and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.

·        Effective analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills are required.

·        Strong team skills with the ability to act as key facilitator to drive for results and affect change.

 

 

Education/ Experience Requirements

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field plus at least 5 years of advanced Sourcing experience.

·        C.P.M is preferred.

·        Quality auditing experience preferred.

·        Medical Writing/Technical Writing preferred.

·        Black Belt, Green Belt, Six Sigma experience preferred.

 

Travel Requirements
