Sourcing & Contract Analyst recruitment

Responsibilities
This high-energy, proactive individual will manage and conduct contractual negotiations with a primary focus on software and SaaS (software-as-a-service) licensing and IT professional services / consulting so as to minimize risk and cost to the firm. He or she must be an excellent communicator, a quick study, and comfortable providing project management to senior stakeholders in IT, business, Legal, and other teams. It is important that this individual have strong negotiation experience in their current position, and ideally the candidate will have experience negotiating software / SaaS licensing agreements.

The key responsibilities of the Sourcing and Contract Analyst include:
- Negotiation of supplier agreements, including:
- Negotiation of favorable commercial terms (e.g. price, renewal details, support maintenance terms, SLAs);
- Understanding, summarizing, and negotiating into agreements the key Business / IT needs and use cases; and
- Project management skills: understanding the concerns and positions of IT, Legal, the Business and other key stakeholders and liaising between all parties to manage the negotiation process to a timely completion.
- Data-gathering, maintenance, analytics and reporting related to software licensing entitlements, costs, deployment, etc.
- Supply market analysis and continuing development of expertise in software currently or prospectively in use at the firm.
- Contract enforcement and supplier relationship management.
- Demand aggregation and management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Must possess exceptional follow-through and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment that demands extra effort and late hours as needed.
- Must possess strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. as well as the ability to learn and work with purchasing and contract management tools.
- Must be detail-oriented and focused on 100% accuracy of data.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid experience in developing negotiation strategies, hands-on negotiation and implementation of complex agreements including software licensing agreements, SaaS agreements, ASP agreements, hosted services agreements, etc.
- Experience in negotiating global framework agreements with HP, IBM, Oracle/PeopleSoft, Microsoft, SAP, SunGard, etc.
- IT or legal background, especially e.g. experience at an IT company or within the IT or Legal department of a financial services company.

Skills:
- Exceptional, precise written and verbal communication and comprehension.
- Ability to work independently and judge when escalation or guidance is needed.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in contract negotiation and strategic sourcing in the financial services industry including the ability to draft, review, negotiate statements of work (SOW), non-disclosure agreements (NDA), master services agreements (MSA), software licensing agreements, etc. A comprehensive understanding of the software industry e.g. key vendors, products, licensing methodologies, industry practices. (preferred, but not required)
