Sourcing Expert – Outsourcing & Offshoring recruitment

Candidates must be procurement professionals that have a proven track record of leading complex sourcing initiatives in the outsourcing arena. Experience can have been obtained in IT or broader business process outsourcing.
The role will require an exceptional candidate who will act as the sourcing lead on complex strategic outsourcing initiatives and act as a relationship manager to key stakeholders cross group and across geographies. The candidate will be responsible for engaging with the business to determine their needs, shaping the sourcing strategy and executing against these requirements, including leading the tendering and commercial/contract negotiation with a wide range of global service providers. A proven ability to recognise and mitigate the risks associated with outsourcing, both operational and commercial, and the ability to draft complex outsourcing contracts is essential. A track record in structured vendor and post contract management is desirable.
Experience of banking/financial services organisations is desirable but not essential. Experience in global, blue chip organisations with a proven track record in delivering complex sourcing projects is an absolute requirement.
Key Objectives of the role:
Client
• Demonstrate highly developed relationship management skills and gravitas to operate at senior level. Develop excellent client relationships at senior levels.
• Proactively seek out and implement sourcing opportunities as well as understand and respond to client needs including establishing project requirements, deliverables, priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to constructively challenge clients regarding their requirements and approach where appropriate and have the influencing skills to have an impact at senior levels.
• Demonstrate sound understanding of client business and needs together with the ability to develop convincing ideas and solutions to meet these needs. This will include the injection of your own creative ideas for client problems.
People.
• Ensure information is shared between team members whilst also demonstrating the ability to communicate concisely, convincingly and effectively to a wider global (client/peers) audience (especially upwards).
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and a high level of self-motivation to overcome obstacles and utilize a positive approach in the face of difficulty whilst encouraging the same approach in others.
Economic
• Generate creative ideas and challenge status quo, not constrained by past models.
• Understanding of total cost of ownership and financial models/simulations.
Functional/Technical
• Project manage and own the sourcing project through every stage through to delivery.
• Strong services procurement background incorporating major ITO or BPO experience
• Apply specialist knowledge to identify potential Sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure that the benefits of a competitive approach between vendors are maintained for as long as possible during the sourcing lifecycle.
• Experienced commercial and legal negotiator including excellent contract drafting skills.
• Track record of managing strategic suppliers in both a multi vendor and single source environment, both pre and post contract.
Requirements
Extensive procurement experiences in a major global blue chip environment. Financial sector is desirable but not essential. Complex outsourcing and services procurement experience is a must.
