Sourcing Lead- Transport and Warehouse- Buckinghamshire - £35k- £40k plus package
A leading blue chip organisation is looking for a sourcing lead with a background within transport and warehousing to join their growing procurement team in Buckinghamshire on a global basis and to manage all aspects of the procurement life cycle.
This procurement role will involve:
Supporting the business on all aspects of logistics and fleet sourcing procurement
Developing strategies to fit requirements and analyse alternative strategies
Evaluating cost saving opportunities such as benchmarking and re-negotiation, re-engineering and volume leverage
Liaising with the business to define end user requirements
Preparation and implementation of the procurement sourcing strategies
The following procurement skills are required:
Purchasing and mobilising contracts for the logistics and fleet procurement categories
Detailed knowledge of strategic sourcing and strong communication skills
Strong negotiation, analytical and client-facing skills
Preferably a background within the pharmaceutical sector
Experience in the private sector is vital, although knowledge of public sector procurement would be beneficial
Ideally degree educated and / or CIPS qualified or equivalent
