Leads procurement activities for assigned Global Expansion programs with the goal of achieving program timelines and cost targets. Responsible for communicating Global Expansion requirements and product attributes to relevant sourcing teams within procurement. Represents procurement on assigned program teams.

§ Lead procurement activities for assigned Global Expansion programs, acts as liaison to sourcing team (Direct Materials, Indirect, and API), and communicates procurement progress against plans to program teams.
§ Accountable for delivering program goals including timelines, cost targets, and
§ Critical responsibility is relationship management both internally and externally and ability to manage in a matrix environment to deliver results develop interdependent partnerships with other sourcing and procurement groups as required.
§ Understands global category market, cost drivers and trends. Maintains market intelligence and stays abreast of the emerging supply base and new technologies.
§ Ensure all Global Expansion sourcing requirements are met and integrated with existing supply strategies. Work with sourcing team to ensure new contract terms are negotiated and ensure best total cost is delivered.
§ Design, manage, and execute project plans for each assigned Global Expansion program.
§ Identifies global opportunities to generate value and utilizes the category management process to provide optimized sourcing strategies.
§ Responsible for establishing and executing an outsourcing strategy for assigned commodities with the objective of improving productivity, reducing cost, creating flexible access to global capacity (internal and external) and harnessing innovation globally.
§ Align with marketing team on cost targets and work with sourcing teams to deliver cost targets.
§ Support the commercialization of existing Hospira products in to new markets by ensure that procurement activities are completed on time.
§ Leads cost analysis, interprets information and translates into actionable strategies and forward-looking analyses.
§ Leads cross functional team to ensure strategic sourcing effectiveness. Works closely with key stakeholders to develop cost reduction strategies and implementation plans that meet business needs.
§ Leads best cost country sourcing analysis and strategy. Identifies sourcing opportunities, evaluates supply base and understands supply market complexities. Recommends strategy, defines requirements with key stakeholders and ensures implementation.
§ Leads and develops risk management strategies to increase awareness and ensure implementation of appropriate risk mitigation plans. Works closely with business stakeholders to understand business impact and approve alternate sources of supply.
§ Drives sourcing best practices across company for assigned spend categories. Ensure compliance to all policies and procedures and maintain a working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Bachelors degree required
Need a high level understanding of the technical product specifications, to ensure sourcing process by molecule is sufficient to meet molecule product launch on schedule, below ro at target cost.
