The Sourcing Manager will assist in the development and sourcing processes for men's/women's, woven/knit fabrics, from conception to bulk for Van Heusen and IZOD Retail.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
- Work with Design to understand their needs and initiate fabric developments with key suppliers and follow through until ready for bulk ordering
- Work with Garment Sourcing, Operations, Merchandisers, and Sales as needed to help solve fabric related questions or issues
- Handle fabric related issues throughout the bulk production process as needed, including but not limited to fabric defects, fabric performance
- Support OSO Color and Lab teams as needed.
- Continue to provide new fabric ideas and qualities to the divisions
- Continue to research and explore any new finishes, fibers, etc.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in fabric sourcing, global production planning, and manufacturing.
- A textile-related background is needed.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Strong computer skills required (Internet, Word, and Excel required, knowledge of or experience with PDM helpful).
- Top-notch follow up skills are essential.
- Proactive personality is needed.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
