SUMMARY
The Sourcing Manager organizes, plans, supervises and controls the purchase of production and general expenses, within the sourcing strategy of the business and the unit instructions, with the objective to provide the unit with the needed goods and services at the right cost, the right time and the right quality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and propose the Unit Sourcing Strategy in coordination with the Business Sourcing Direction, analyze, recommend and implement the Unit Sourcing Action Plans, in order to optimize the cost, quality and delivery of purchase. Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
- ration, negotiation and implementation of Frame Agreements, analyze, prepare, negotiate and implement Unit F. A, in order to reduce the cost of the delivered goods and services

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the Purchasing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Engineering, Business Administration or related field; five or more years related experience in purchasing; 2-3 years of sourcing management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals as they relate to inventory and purchasing functions. Ability to effectively respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and vendors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference as they relate to understanding business forecasts and scheduling inventory purchases. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations involved with the procurement of materials, such as determining the best price and planning inventory levels.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems in managing the purchase of inventory and personnel in the department. Ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form as they are used to plan the purchase of inventory.
