Sourcing Manager Job in Zaventem 1930, Flemish-Brabant Belgium
The Supply Trade department in Yara is responsible for global optimization of energy and raw materials purchases used for the production process, ammonia trade and shipping, maritime logistics, third party sourcing, and feed phosphates.
As part of that organization, The Raw Material Sourcing team in Yara is responsible for sourcing main raw materials for our fertilizer plants and markets worldwide. This requires a short and long-term view of market developments and understanding of our industry.
The team is currently recruiting a Raw Material Sourcing Manager, based in Brussels, to strengthen the team.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and purchase the assigned portfolio of raw materials for Yara plants and markets
- Optimize supply to the plants and markets based on time constraints, logistics and technical restrictions
- Develop and implement a global supply/sales strategy for different products
- Develop new and innovative supply/marketing alternatives
- Maintain and develop strong relations with external suppliers and internal customers
Qualifications:
- Masters degree
- At least 4 years experience with related relevant responsibilities
- Knowledge of (mostly maritime) logistics preferred
- Basic technical knowledge of chemical industry and plant process is an asset
- Knowledge on contracting basics is an asset
- Commercial approach and solid negotiation relationship building skills
- Self motivated and result oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize
- Team player with the capacity to think and work independently
- Good command of English, other languages are an asset
