Sourcing Manager- Market Data/Business Information Job in London, London UK

1st Executive is currently recruiting for the role of Sourcing Manager, Market Data/Business Information Specialist on behalf of a major global financial services organisation in the Greater London area. A genuine opportunity to join a key department of one of the World`s largest financial institutions.

The successful applicant will have recent, demonstrable experience of data analysis and the procurement of market data agreements (both real and non real time) within the Financial Services industry.
You will be an expert in sourcing areas such as market research, credit and financial information, economic analysis and IT research. The role will be a sourcing post based within the group procurement team with a strategic outlook in streamlining costs with a goal to achieving savings from the ground up.

Additionally they will have experience of both tactical and strategic management and procurement for all expenses that are characterised under the heading of market data. Along with this you will have experience in dealing with the leaders who provide market data such as Reuters and Bloomberg.

Salary: £40K - £55K + Car + Bonus + London Weighting + Flex Bens + Pension
Location: London/Halifax/Bristol

Key Responsibilities/ requirements:

- Play a key role in RFQ`s, Supplier negotiation, financial analysis and contract consolidation within the market data team.
- 3 - 5 plus year of previous business, Procurement and Market Data experience is preferred.
- Experience in leading strategic sourcing programs and program management.
- Skills with Oracle, eRFX, Procedure to Pay, eAuction and similar a plus.
- Ability to interact and influence all levels up to Director.
- Overall solid, demonstrable experience of all aspects of market data sourcing/ procurement.
- Category knowledge of business data from the financial services or banking industry
- Excellent strategic sourcing process management improvement experience, across the end to end lifecycle
- Excellent stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Financial Services background is preferred but not essential
