Sourcing Manager recruitment

Responsibilities
This position will report to the VP- IT Sourcing and the qualified individual will be responsible for the procurement of Market Data and IT-related goods and services. As part of this position the individual will be tasked with reducing and controlling costs and legal risks.

-Assume responsibility for the enterprise-wide, global sourcing and procurement of Market Data and related services as an integral part of Moody's Corporate Services Group
-Reduce cost, increase quality, and improve service by reducing the number of suppliers and consolidating purchasing power.
-Coordinate the requirements and efforts of all internal individuals and groups (Primarily IT and Legal) in connection with the sourcing and procurement of Market Data and services.
-Develop supplier RFPs, RFQs and RFXs and analyze proposals.
-Research and analyze market/financial data from internal and external resources to effectively manage assigned commodity area.
-Coordinate and participate in Global/Regional/Local contract negotiations which directly impact profit margins.
-Ensure that objectives of key company stakeholders/customers are met.
-Develop professional relationships with suppliers and manage related activities.
-Assist in global implementation of sourcing policies and procedures.
-Draft contractual terms and conditions to ensure optimal contractual arrangements and best practices are achieved.
-Proactively seeks new/alternate sources of supply while establishing alliances and managing supplier relations.

Qualifications
-3+ years Market Data IT procurement/ sourcing activities (IT Hardware and Telecom/Networking preferred)
-Demonstrable experience in sourcing of Market Data and IT-related goods services along with other professional services such as consultancy, offshore services, etc. would be advantageous.
-Proficiency in contract negotiations and drafting.
-Experience developing and implementing procurement methodologies and processes
-Exceptional problem solving skills, ability to analyze multiple and complex situations to determine most effective way of resolving issues and pushing strategy forward.
-Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
