Sourcing Manager recruitment

Primary tasks include but are not limited to:

Draft contractual terms and conditions to ensure optimal contractual arrangements and best practices are achieved.

Act as a project manager within the sourcing scope to ensure that all necessary internal parties participate as necessary to ensure comprehensive agreements are executed in a timely manner.

Manage the logistics of contract execution from initial contact with internal client through execution and post-execution governance process.

Assist in development of local procedures

Assist in local implementation of global sourcing policies and procedures

Supplier Rationalization: Reduce cost, increase quality, and improve service by reducing number of suppliers and consolidating purchasing power

Client relationship: Ensure that objectives of key company stakeholders/customers are met.

Vendor relationship: Develop professional relationships with existing suppliers and manage related activities and proactively seek new/alternate sources of supply

Benchmarking: Independently gather and analyze market/financial data from internal and external sources in order to effectively manage assigned commodity area

RFx: Develop, issue, manage and analyze supplier proposals. Work with internal clients to guide selection of successful bidders.

Coordinate and participate in Global/Regional/Local negotiations which directly impact firm profitability and operational activities.

Position Purpose / Context

Staff position supporting Front Office, Technology and other disciplines by the negotiation, execution and governance of relevant agreements, including vendor and client relationships

Volume of contracts executed annually 50 – 75, 25% of total department volume

Associated annual spend: 15-25% of total volume: $25MM

Communication and collaboration with global peers, leveraging local and global experience and relationships.

Competencies

Required:

Proficiency in English and understanding US law and business environment

Organizational ability to manage and prioritize multiple actions at the same time

Technical skills

Required:

Extensive experience with supplier relationships and knowledge of the sourcing process.

Proficiency in contract negotiations and drafting US commercial agreements (Legal background is not required)

Excellent analytical and strategic skills.
