Sourcing & Procurement Director recruitment

Main Purpose:

Reporting to the Regional Procurement Manager and MD, this Senior Procurement role is to source key and strategic local procurement initiatives within China and drive deeper and further the entire procurement function in China. 

The Procurement Director will work closely with the APAC Regional Procurement Managers, negotiate ensure all company's Procurement global initiatives are implemented in China and Hong Kong and to ensure successful implementation of the local and regional procurement initiatives with the Regional APAC Procurement Manager. 

The Person must be able to work closely with the APAC Procurement Manager jointly to achieve all the procurement outcomes required by the Regional Procurement Manager. Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with all company and personnel both at an interpersonal level and across all business processes within the wider business environment.

Ensure a sound understanding of, demonstrate commitment to comply with all legislation company's Policies relevant to the role all activities undertaken in that role.

Key focus areas are, but not limited to, Production Costs Procurement, IT and Digital Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Contract Negotiation.  The procurement areas cover General and Administration areas and Production spend of our companies.

 Key Accountabilities

The key accountabilities for this role are, but not limited to;

• Source key strategic saving initiatives that will benefit all companies in China and grow the procurement function across all companies in China. 

• Work closely on all strategic sourcing matters in China with the Regional Procurement manager in APAC.

• Identify local (country) procurement options and put in place programme of efficiencies within China.

• Plan and manage China all reporting of analysis, savings programmes, procurement plans as directed by company's Procurement and Regional Procurement.

Key Competencies

• 7- 10 years experience in generalist procurement role – particularly in areas of sourcing

• Experience in a service industry is preferable

• Specialist Procurement Knowledge

• IT Knowledge and Digital Product Knowledge is preferable

• Extremely good analysis ability

• Demonstrated service excellence.

• An individual who has attention to detail

• Strong Written and Oral communication in Mandarin English

• Energetic and driven personality
