Posted Position Title: Sourcing Remanufacturing Specialist Career Level: Experienced Function Sourcing Function Segment: Sourcing Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Wisconsin City: Waukesha Postal Code: 53188-4961 Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose: The sourcing remanufacturing position is a newly created position to manage the sourcing commercial activities for the launching of the Re-manufacturing products thru our third party service provider. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning for Remanufacturing products Essential Responsibilities - Manage the commercial sourcing activity between third party companies and Waukesha gas engine business - Place Purchase Orders (PO) timely and obtain PO acknowledgements from Suppliers - Understand strategies for assigned commodities and proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives - Identify and qualify new suppliers for core and non-core parts - Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability - Implement sourcing standards including process execution, synergies for cost out - Drive productivity opportunities with supply base to deliver cost out goals - Support commodity buys - Write reports to track PO activity and supplier performance - Analyze and track Supplier promise date accuracy and develop reports to ensure Supplier promise date accuracy - Drive effective recovery plans and create payment tracking and invoice analysis. Tracking / invoice analysis Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college - A minimum of 2 years of sourcing experience Eligibility Requirements: - Willingness and ability to travel, as required Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Characteristics - Bachelors degree in business or engineering - Remanufacturing product experience - Additional experience in Sourcing and writing fulfillment reports using MS Access, SQL or Visual Basic is preferred - Efficient with ERP; Oracle, SAP and AP systems - Strong quantitative and analytical skills - PC and database proficiency - Strong oral and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills - Six Sigma training is preferred (GE employees only) Why join one great company when you can join many?
