General Description: The Sourcing Specialist, IT Hardware Software is a position within the Strategic Sourcing group responsible for sourcing and procurement activities related for the IT Hardware and Software and delivering year over year savings in alignment with Cox Communications overall business objectives. IT Hardware Software scope includes servers, laptops, tablets, storage devices, office printers, software licenses, and software as a service (SaaS). Key accountabilities include: (1) IT hardware and software strategic sourcing and procurement, (2) Negotiate and finalize 3rd party contractual documents (e.g. master supplier agreements), and (3) Supplier relationship management scorecard compliance. This position will implement sourcing strategies that ensure the achievement of best value in the IT Hardware and Software space. The activities include identifying, evaluating, and selecting vendors to meet internal business needs, managing sourcing processes and completing necessary documentation (i.e. RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs), and conducting vendor capability and suitability assessments. The role will support the negotiation of contractual terms and conditions as well as implement best practices associated with internal contracts management processes.

Responsibilities:
1. IT Hardware Software Strategic Sourcing and Procurement
-Assist Category Manager in the development and execution of a strategic sourcing plan to assure productivity targets are met
-Engage internal customers and suppliers to understand the forecasted demand of IT Hardware Software (i.e. pipeline)
-Plan, implement, and optimize the flow of IT hardware and software from the point of origin to the point of consumption in order to achieve internal customers requirements.
-Manage the competitive bid sourcing process taking into account price, terms, delivery, compatibility, total cost of products, and the suppliers ability to meet their requirements
-Purchase IT hardware and software in a cost effective manner
-Partner with functional business groups to define savings opportunities
-Review current IT hardware and software suppliers and actively seek new suppliers
-Serve as an agent to guide Coxs supplier diversity efforts by providing data monitoring, evaluation, status reports, and program communication.
-Integrate with Technology Governance Technology Finance teams to ensure alignment with Technologys strategic plans in IT Hardware and Software.
2. Support the negotiation finalization of favorable 3rd party contracts that comply with legal regulatory requirements
-Partner with business owners to establish a current state baseline and negotiation strategy
-Review, analyze, and evaluate complex agreements and identify key business issues
-Actively participate in the direct negotiation of key supplier agreements
-Partner with Cox legal to drive final contract terms and signature
-Manage contractual data collection, monitoring, and renewals
3. Supplier Relationship Management Scorecard Compliance
-Proactively manage ongoing business relationships
-Support the measurement and compilation of scorecards dashboards

Qualifications:
-Requires BS/BA in related discipline and minimum of five (5) years of experience in strategic sourcing and contracts management of products or services within the IT industry OR advanced degree with 3+ years experience in strategic sourcing. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
-Hardware and software contract management, strong financial acumen, and extensive negotiation experience are essential for this role.
-Solid analytics capabilities and RFx experience required.
-Individual must possess exceptional analytical and issue resolution skills.
-Excellent negotiating and influencing skills through written and verbal communication with specific experience in management reporting and executive presentations.
-Develop and engages others in developing innovative solutions to important, highly complex issues with cross-departmental considerations.
-Computer skills: Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
-Willingness to travel at required times (minimal).
