Sourcing Specialist

at our suburban St. Louis, MO headquarters.

 

Nature and Scope:

To support the Global Sourcing team by conducting all related administrative and tactical activities, providing key data collection and analysis, preparing and maintaining departmental reports, executing cost reduction and process improvement projects.

Key Accountabilities:

· Perform data collection and analysis to support Global Sourcing Managers in strategy development, RFQ and bid package preparation, total cost of ownership determination and overall commodity management

· Act as key responsible party for processing all ECNs within assign commodity group, includes determining process improvements

· Perform all tactical activities for supplier on boarding, may include some strategic activities as assigned.

· Support Global Commodity Managers with SAP system updates, analysis and reporting.

· Contribute to the identification and execution of critical projects that count toward the goal of 5% net productivity

· Maintain important KPI data relevant to supplier performance such as productivity, quality, on time delivery, payment terms, and customer satisfaction

· Any other duties as required

· Ability to think more strategically and generate ideas from continued analysis and trend identification. Includes providing cost reduction project ideas and recommendations.

· Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment

· Professional oral and written communication skills

· Strong Presentation skills

· Impeccable work ethic due to dedication of work hours beyond a standard work week.

· Project management skills

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent. MBA is a plus

· Strong analytical and technical skills, attention to details.

· Thorough knowledge of Intermediate/Advanced for Microsoft Office Application and Project Management programs, specifically Excel. Access is a plus.

· 1-3 years experience with SAP or equivalent MRP system.

· Minimum of 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

· Multilingual proficiency is a plus
