Job Description Southern States - Railway/Environmental - Regional Program Manager The challenge? Help support our railroad clients in managing their portfolio of environmental liabilities. Business development responsibilities for this position include leading and/or contributing to the pursuit, capture, and management of railroad-related remediation and capital construction projects in order to expand our existing railroad client relationships in the Southeast. Each day, you will be the face of AECOM as you serve as the primary client service manager supported by senior project managers and team members with significant experience in the railroad industry. You should be a self-motivated professional with at least 15-20 years experience in an environmental consulting environment, have previous Class 1 rail experience, preferably have a PE or PG license, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally. Job description/Duties: ï?· Provide overall program strategy and leadership, regulatory interface, and senior review of deliverables. ï?· Have accountability for contracts, change management, and mentoring of Project Managers ï?· Are responsible for ensuring safety and compliance for all projects ï?· Work interactively with engineers, and scientists on railroad-related projects ï?· Work directly with clients to understand and meet their expectations, leverage relationships with existing clients to expand our service offerings while continuing to grow new, productive relationships ï?· Participate in contract negotiations, developing pricing strategies, and preparing proposals for submission to clients. ï?· Lead and support development of environmental, health, and/or safety management plans ï?· Develop internal relationships to support the overall growth and success of the Environment business line, mentor mid-level staff, and steward client satisfaction Basic Qualifications ï?· Possess a B.S. Degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related degree ï?· Minimum of 15-20 years remediation experience, with a minimum of 5 years experience at the business development/ project management level with Class 1 railroads
