SOX Analyst recruitment


One of the world's largest banks has opened up a new and exciting role as SOX Analyst for a maternity cover position. You will perform quality assurance reviews of SOX ITGC, Automated and End User Computing controls at EMEA (mainlyLondonbranch) and co-ordinate with Control Owners testers to ensure that SOX testing is completed within the target deadlines. You will need good communication skills, great interpersonal skills and be an excellent team player.

Role/Responsibilities:

Conducting quality assurance reviews of SOX ITGC and automated controls at EMEA (mainlyLondonbranch).

- Co-ordinating with Control Owners testers to ensure that SOX testing is completed within the target deadlines.

- Assisting Control Owners with remediation of controls where necessary.

- Identify risks key controls in IT cycle and prepare SOX documentation for new systems/processes.

- Ensure bank's compliance with SOX and other internal and external compliance/control matters e.g. spreadsheets controls.

- Liaising with Head Office counterparts, External and Internal Audit on SOX matters.

- Educating Control Owners and management about SOX framework and best practices.

Skills

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

- Professional qualification like CISA, ACA/ACCA or equivalent

- The candidate should ideally have experience working in UK bank or one of the big 4 firms and conducting IT internal audits or IT SOX reviews of the banking industry. The candidate should have a strong background of risk and business controls.

- Experience of IT General Computer Controls, Automated Controls and End User Computing is desirable. Knowledge of corporate and investment banking products would be an added advantage.

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to quickly build relationships at all levels of the organisation. Attention to detail is an important pre-requisite for this role.

- Experience of risk control, audit and SOX
