SPECIAL TOOL ESTIMATOR
Precision Dormer LLC, a leading manufacturer of
High Speed Steel Carbide cutting tools, and the
North American based operation for the world leading
Dormer Group, has an open position for a Special
Tool Estimator in its Crystal Lake location. Under
direction, performs duties to quote special tooling
according to the Precision Dormer strategy, interpret
and verify blueprints, confirm and record contracts and
quotations in accordance with established policies, practices,
and procedures. Coordinate activities with Sales Representatives and
managers. Develop prints for custom drills using internal systems. Utilize
CAD to create tool drawings to provide to production facilities. Performs
other duties as assigned.
Your Profile
The qualified candidate will possess:
AS in Engineering (preferred). 2 years experience. Ability to read, understand
and accurately interpret blue prints and drawings of Drills, End Mills and
Internal Threading Tools. Ability to create reports, business correspondence,
procedural manuals and activity logs. Ability to convert Customer Drawing
requirements into Global CAPP inputs. Knowledge of AutoCAD. Attention
to detail. Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, PowerPoint, Word; ability to grasp
other computer technology as the need arises. Excellent communication/
presentation skills, oral and written.
