Senior level Specialized Travel Counselor will plan and book all details of travel for VIPs, Executives and international travelers for high profile account according to client travel policy as well as American Express policies and procedures. The hired candidate will ensure concierge level customer service through effective use of the Apollo GDS, associated tools as well as Cliqbook navigation and support, all while maintaining excellent telephone service techniques and prompt replies to emails. The applicant will handle domestic and international travel related requests and process air, hotel, car, limo reservations as well as small groups and meetings. He/she will counsel clients on efficient routes, lowest available fares, passport and visa requirements, exchange rates and Amex travel products and services. The candidate is expected to act as a customer liaison between client corporation and client contracted and American Express preferred suppliers. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: VIP reconfirmations, customer service issue research, follow-up and resolution; ARC processing/reporting (voids, refund and exchanges); monitoring the WIL and MAX; researching debit memos, and special projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have: - An outstanding customer service focus - Strong international and domestic travel counseling skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong teamwork and flexibility - Knowledge of American Express operations (including Point of Sale and back office tools and accounting) - Flexibility to work any shift as needed within the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm Pacific Time - Able to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task - Ability to work autonomously and independently, combined with creative problem solving skills - Some PC and office equipment troubleshooting skills helpful - Intermediate MS Word and MS Excel skills desirable - 3+ years Apollo experience
