Specialty Account Manager, Specialty Business Unit

Role Description Develops and grows business partnerships across RBU Account Management and medical organization to drive engagement with RBU accounts on Specialty Care products and Specialty areas of focus (e.g., coinsurance, Specialty Pharmacy, Specialty product tiers, etc.) Develops and cultivates relationships with unique Specialty accounts in the region based on their potential to maximize revenue and drive improved net sales for Specialty products (e.g., Specialty Pharmacy, prisons/corrections). Deploys unique Specialty Channels Team resources such as value-added programs with unique accounts, or in partnership with RBU AMs at payer accounts. Collaborates with RBU Account Management and Medical Outcomes Specialists on indepth Specialty engagements bridging pharmacy and medical benefits (e.g., Enbrel Value Deck, Zyvox Value Story). Ensures formulary acceptance of Specialty Care medicines thereby maximizing market share performance in assigned accounts (e.g., regional accounts, regional affiliates of national accounts, major regional specialty accounts, specialty GPOs, specialty distributors, Medicaid and niche service providers). Coordinates all resources necessary for Specialty Care products to accomplish objectives established for key regional accounts. Develops and/ or modifies business plans for the region based on collaborative setting of key account targets for each Specialty product. Works with Specialty Care Sales Directors to identify effective pull-through initiatives and communicate them to sales representatives. Develops and maintains contacts within the industry to provide information, remain abreast of competitor's activities, and/or gather information on specific laws or legislation. Participates in the Contracting process by ensuring focus on Specialty products and communicating imperatives to Specialty Channels Team colleagues in HQ. Qualifications Candidates for this position should possess current managed care/account management expertise. Capabilities for this position include: Integrated Market Perspective Consultative Selling- Leadership Experience developing and administering profitable customer contracts Strategic Planning. BS or BA degree, graduate degree preferred Additional criteria for Senior Specialty Account Manager Payer or other account management experience Proven ability to engage accounts in an in-depth manner beyond the pharmacy benefit Benefit design consultation Specialty Pharmacy distribution experience and knowledge Previous experience leading team and managing people (e.g. District Manager,Regional Director. Etc.)
